Liberty State Park is also the launch site for official cruises and tours of the Statue of Liberty. For playing and being outside, there are walking trails, picnic options, wide open spaces, and play areas. The 2 mile long walking trail along the Hudson river makes for a memorable waterfront experience, perfect for taking in the views of the Manhattan skyline at any hour or season. Also dotted throughout Jersey City's residential areas are city-maintained playgrounds and green spaces for residents and families to enjoy.
