Great Kills is a neighborhood on the East Shore of Staten Island, New York City. Found in 1919, the museum contains artifacts and documents that focus on the history of lighthouses from around the world. Visitors can admire the many exhibits and learn more about the histories of these ancient navigation aids. The neighborhood is also home to the Great Kills Little Red Library, an iconic locale for literacy and learning. Its goal is to promote reading and the appreciation of literature by providing books and other materials to members of the community.
